When I was a child I attended Horace Mann for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I went up and down the 178 steps every day. |
You have a choice. You can scroll to the bottom of the page and scroll back up the steps be patient because there's at least 8 photos to load, or you can do what I did as a child. Jump up, down, and all around the stairs. We would jump about ten stairs at a time. I did not divide the stairs into such small jumps. I have added numbers to the steps to show you the approximate location where each photo was taken. Don't get lost. I'm not there to find you.
I have to admit this is one of the most disorienting pages I've put together. Between Jumping and loading photos you'll feel like I did when I was ten years old on these steps. |
Please remember "back' and 'forward' will flip you all around the stairs, but won't take you to the front page. (You can use the 'GO' menu in Netscape.) You may need to scroll sometimes in order to find a Jump, because of your computers screen options.
This is the view looking back down the last section of steps you just climbed. |

Scrolling
up would be better than a jump here.
Jump back to very top stair. If you get lost just use the side bar and scroll up or down some.
Before you start up the steps, remember you could have used the ones on the other side of the hill. The view below looks down from the top of them. |
After you finish come back here and figure out where the steps were not in 1917. the path is in the photo. |
THIS IS A
GOOD PLACE TO START JUMPING. Jump to the first stair on the other hill side.
